Congratulations!

Thankyou everyone for the response and encouragement over the past week. I'm feeling very inspired and a tad nervous about where I go from here.

Now you've had a taste of what I've been working on, and hopefully liked what you've seen, keep visiting. There will be more! I will continue with regular posts and updates on how my product is developing.

Now for the big announcement you've all been waiting anxiously for...

Congratulations Louise Baird & Pete Newman who have won my premiere cushion effort!

And thankyou everyone for your comments, I will endeavour to answer them all. Keep them coming!

After slogging away in the residential Interior Design industry, struggling with moral dilemmas (creativity or cash?), existential angst (what am I actually contributing to the world!?) and personality clashes (botoxed, zombie, old money housewives and psychotic, backstabbing decorators) I managed to step back far enough for an objective view, and did not like what I could see.

I was working in a luxury industry, selling things to people I did not like. Things they were unwilling to open their fat wallets for. Things they thought would make them happy (which didn't) and they were ultimately ungrateful for.

No more.

MIKE.ID is my attempt at putting this right. An attempt to bring something a little more down-to-earth and genuine to this design endeavour. And an attempt to be true to myself and my sense of style.

Hence, MIKE.
